Plant Description:
Verbena ‘Vanessa Bicolor Rose’ is a heat-tolerant, trailing perennial (grown as an annual in cooler zones) recognized for its striking flower clusters featuring rose-pink and white bicolor blooms. It has a dense, branching, and spreading habit with fine, green foliage, producing flowers continuously from spring through frost while maintaining strong mildew resistance.

Grow Zone:
Perennial in USDA Zones 8–10. Grown as an annual in colder zones.

Height and Width:
Typically grows 6–10 inches tall and spreads 18–24 inches wide, creating a full, cascading mat.

Uses:
Well-suited for garden beds, borders, rock gardens, and pollinator-friendly plantings. Performs beautifully in containers, hanging baskets, and window boxes, where its trailing growth spills attractively over edges. Its long-blooming flowers attract butterflies and provide continuous color throughout the warm months.

Native Range:
Bred from hybrid garden verbenas, with parent species native to South America, primarily Brazil and Argentina.

Sun and Water Requirements:
Thrives in full sun, needing at least six hours of direct sunlight daily for abundant blooms. Prefers well-drained soil and moderate watering, allowing the soil to dry slightly between waterings. Drought-tolerant once established but benefits from regular moisture and occasional fertilization for peak flowering.
