Plant Description:
Salvia ‘Wendy’s Wish’ is a vigorous, semi-woody perennial prized for its striking magenta-pink tubular flowers held on dark stems above lush, glossy green foliage. The blooms appear continuously from late spring through fall, creating a vibrant display that attracts hummingbirds and butterflies. It has a mounded, upright growth habit and a graceful, airy appearance that adds movement and color to garden beds.

Grow Zone:
Best grown in USDA Zones 9–11. In Zone 9, it thrives as a perennial, while in cooler regions it can be grown as an annual or overwintered indoors.

Height and Width:
Typically reaches 24 to 36 inches tall and spreads about 18 to 24 inches wide.

Uses:
Ideal for garden borders, mixed beds, and large containers. Its long-lasting blooms make it excellent for attracting pollinators and providing consistent color in landscapes. It also performs well as a focal point in patio planters or butterfly gardens.

Native Range:
‘Wendy’s Wish’ is a hybrid salvia developed in Australia, combining traits from South American Salvia species. Its heritage gives it excellent heat tolerance and adaptability to a range of garden conditions.

Sun and Water Requirements:
Prefers full sun to light shade and well-draining soil. Water regularly until established, then moderately as needed to maintain consistent moisture without sogginess. Deadheading spent blooms encourages continued flowering, and light pruning after flowering helps maintain shape and vigor.
