China Doll Plant (Radermachera sinica) 

Description:
China Doll is a lush, fast-growing evergreen shrub or small tree known for its glossy, finely divided dark green leaves and upright, compact form. Indoors, China Doll presents a graceful, tree-like appearance with delicate foliage that resembles that of a fern or mimosa. Outdoors in suitable climates, China Doll can grow more freely into a small ornamental tree.

Grow Zone:
USDA Zones 10–11 outdoors. In cooler zones, it is typically grown as a houseplant.

Height and Width:

Indoors: 3 to 6 feet tall and 2 to 3 feet wide

Outdoors: Up to 25 to 30 feet tall and 10 to 15 feet wide

Uses:

Indoor houseplant with decorative, airy foliage

Outdoor ornamental tree or screen in tropical/subtropical gardens

Patio plant in containers (can be brought indoors during cooler months)

Native Range:
Southern China and Taiwan

Growing Conditions:

Light: Bright, indirect light indoors; partial shade to full sun outdoors (with some protection from intense afternoon sun)

Soil: Well-draining, rich potting soil

Water: Keep soil evenly moist but not soggy; allow the top inch of soil to dry between waterings

Humidity: Prefers high humidity; may require misting or a humidity tray indoors

Temperature: Ideal range is 65–75°F; avoid cold drafts and temperatures below 50°F

Fertilizer: Feed monthly during spring and summer with a balanced liquid fertilizer

Note: China Doll is sensitive to environmental changes and may drop leaves if moved, overwatered, or exposed to dry air. Stable conditions and proper care encourage healthy, lush growth.
