DESCRIPTION:

Native to the southwestern USA, Mexico, and Central America, the small alpine evergreen known as Texan Cedarwood can reach heights of up to 7 meters. Its unique characteristics include stiff green needles and an irregularly shaped trunk. Texas is the main producer of its essential oil.

Cedarwood essential oil has a long history of use dating back thousands of years, making it one of the earliest oils to be distilled. Ancient cultures utilized this oil for its antiseptic and sedative properties, as evidenced by various sources. As far back as 1800 BC, the Sumerians mentioned this oil in their clay tablets, using it in a variety of applications such as a base for paints used to decorate pottery. The Egyptians also incorporated this oil into their embalming rituals, alongside other oils like thyme.

 

DIRECTIONS AND SUGGESTED USAGE:

  • To Clean: For a natural and effective cleaning solution, blend a few drops with water and white vinegar. Use on surfaces throughout your home.

  • Beauty: Massage Cedarwood Essential Oil. onto your scalp to promote the appearance of shiny, healthy-looking hair. Alternatively, add Cedarwood Essential Oil. to your favorite lotions and skin care products to help cleanse and moisturize the skin.

  • Aromatherapy: To your diffuser, add 5-6 drops of Cedarwood Essential Oil.

  • Insect Control: Outdoor sprays can be created combining Cedarwood Essential Oil with Citronella, Rosemary, or Lemongrass and water or alcohol-free witch hazel.
