Plant Description:  

Bracteantha 'Granvia Crimson Sun' is a stunning variety of the strawflower (Xerochrysum bracteatum), prized for its large, vibrant crimson-red flowers with yellow centers. The blooms have a papery texture, resembling straw, and retain their beauty even when dried, making them ideal for floral arrangements. This plant has a bushy, upright growth habit and blooms from spring through fall, offering long-lasting color in the garden.


Native Range:  

Strawflowers are native to Australia, where they grow in sunny, well-drained areas. They are known for their heat and drought tolerance.


Growing Zones:  

Best suited for USDA Hardiness Zones 9-11. However, it can be grown as an annual in cooler regions.


Height and Width:  

- Height: 2 to 3 feet  

- Width: 1 to 2 feet  

It has a compact, upright growth habit, making it perfect for both garden beds and containers.


Growing Conditions:  

- Light: Prefers full sun for the best flower production and vibrant colors.  

- Soil: Thrives in well-draining soil, particularly sandy or loamy types. Ensure the soil does not retain excessive moisture to avoid root rot.
