Angelica plants are tall, aromatic, biennial or perennial herbs that can grow to be 3–7 feet tall.They have large, chartreuse leaves, a thick, purplish stem, and small, white or greenish white flowers.The flowers grow in flat-topped clusters called umbels that can be up to 4–6 inches across. Angelica plants are often used as decorations in cakes and puddings.The roots, leaves, seeds, and young stems are edible and taste like licorice.The roots have a musky aroma and are often used in cooking and aroma products.
