Aloe Vera
Aloe vera is a stemless or short-stemmed succulent with thick, fleshy, lance-shaped green leaves edged with small white teeth. The leaves are filled with a soothing gel commonly used in herbal and skin-care applications. Mature plants may produce a tall spike of tubular yellow or orange flowers in spring or summer.
Grow Zone:
USDA Hardiness Zones 9–11. Can be grown in containers and brought indoors in cooler climates.
Height and Width:
Reaches 1 to 2 feet tall and 1 to 2 feet wide. Spreads slowly by offsets.

Native Range:
Believed to be native to the Arabian Peninsula but widely naturalized in tropical and subtropical regions worldwide.
Sun Requirements:
Full sun to light shade. Prefers bright, indirect light indoors or full sun outdoors. Acclimate gradually to avoid sunburn.
Water Requirements:
Low. Allow soil to dry out completely between waterings. Water deeply and infrequently. Reduce watering significantly in winter or during dormancy. Avoid soggy or poorly drained soil to prevent root rot.
