Plant Description

Superbena® Pink Cashmere is a vigorous, trailing verbena with soft pink blooms that have a hint of blush. This variety is known for its continuous flowering from spring through fall without the need for deadheading. It features dense, green foliage and a spreading habit, making it an excellent choice for ground cover or cascading from containers. It is also heat-tolerant, drought-resistant, and highly attractive to pollinators like bees and butterflies.

Native Range

Verbena species are native to the Americas, primarily in warm, tropical to temperate regions. Superbena® cultivars are bred for superior disease resistance and flowering performance.

• Grown as an annual in Zones 2–7.

• Height: 6 to 12 inches

• Width: 18 to 30 inches (spreading/trailing habit)

Growing Conditions

• Light: Full sun (at least 6–8 hours of direct sunlight for best flowering).

• Soil: Well-draining, moderately fertile soil; pH 5.8–7.2.

• Watering: Moderate watering; allow soil to dry slightly between waterings. Drought-tolerant once established.

• Humidity: Tolerates a range of humidity levels; good airflow helps prevent mildew.

• Temperature: Prefers warm weather; protect from frost.

• Fertilizer: Feed with a balanced, slow-release fertilizer in early spring and supplement with a liquid fertilizer every 2–4 weeks for continuous blooms.

Pruning & Maintenance

• Deadheading is not required, but trimming back lightly in midseason can encourage bushier growth.

• Pinch back stems if the plant becomes too leggy.

Uses

• Hanging Baskets & Containers: Ideal for cascading over the edges.

• Ground Cover: Spreads well in landscape beds.
