Antibacterial - A substance used to treat and prevent the growth of bacteria.

Antimicrobial - A substance used to treat and prevent infectious diseases in humans, plants and animals. Antimicrobials kill or slow the spread of microorganisms. Microorganisms include viruses, bacteria, protazoans, and fungi sich as mold and mildew.

Antiseptic - A substance that slows down or stops the growth of microorganisms.
