Arnica infused herbal oil preparation

How to prepare and use Arnica infused herbal oil

This herbal remedy is used topically for bruises, cuts, muscle soreness, sprains, insect bites, scars and other minor issues.

Ingredients include:

1/4 cup of dried arnica 

2 cups or more of a carrier oil, such as coconut oil, avocado, jojoba, almond, or extra virgin olive oil

 

Instructions:

 

1. Place 1/4 cup of dried arnica in a dry and clean quart sized mason jar.

2. Fill the jar with the carrier oil of your choice, be sure all dried herbs and submerged in carrier oil with about an inch of oil covering all of the jars contents. 

3. Close the lid making sure that it is sealed properly. Let the jar set for 3-4 weeks, this will allow the oil to soak up all beneficial properties of the dried arnica. This mixture can be stored in a cool dark place or near a window with direct sunlight, it will not affect the process.

4. After 3-4 weeks of soaking, the arnica infused oil is ready to be strained and placed inside of another container for use. You can use a strainer or cheesecloth to keep the herbs separated from the oil.

5. Store oil in a cool, dry and familiar environment so it is readily available for use.
